Dahlia
Donovan's The Lion Tamer was something else. I don't often read M/M
novels - i absolutely appreciate them; there's something about an author
being able to make a relationship between two men sound and look
beautiful that draws me in (when done right), and for certain this
author did exactly that.
While
i may not have read the previous books in the series before getting
into the Lion Tamer, maybe not getting the full picture as to who
Scottie is and what he's been through. What i do understand though, is
the type of person that he is - the kind of person that needs to strike
out before they get hurt and weary of anyone trying to be nice to them
because of past experiences. I enjoyed how even though i didn't read the
previous books, i wasn't entirely lost - sure i don't know the link
that exists between the different characters, but what fascinated me the
most was how Gray and Scottie were constantly drawn to each other and
there was still the power struggle between the two to find out who would
come out on top.
I
enjoyed the many dynamics that this author has included in this story,
making it a captivating and entertaining one, and not only did i like
the journey, but i know that i'll be starting the series from the start
so i can finally find out what the link between all of these characters
is.
