ALONE WITH JAGGER.
A low rumble ripped from the back of his throat, like a growl.
He’d hid his massive ego well the night they’d met, but here, on a Loving property, he was, without question, the one in control and the one with all the power. He exuded confidence. He oozed sex appeal. And she squirmed under his commanding gaze.
The giant wall clock ticked slowly compared to her speeding heart. Should she confess? Should she apologize for not telling him her real name and for vanishing the next morning?
“I’ll need your phone number.” His words were a command, not a request. “And this time, you’re going to give it to me.” Damn if he didn’t arch his eyebrow at her.
As soon as she did, her phone buzzed.
All thumbs, Taylor fumbled in her handbag, found her phone, and read his text. “Welcome to Loving.”
“Thank you, Mr. Loving,” she murmured.
When he stepped into her personal space, her breath quickened. She wanted to nuzzle the exposed skin in the V of his white dress shirt. Those damned kissable lips would be the death of her. When she peeked up at him, he was waiting.
“Call me Jagger.” His piercing glare cut right through her. “Do you go by Taylor or is there another name you’d prefer I use?”
For a long moment, they stared into each other’s eyes as the unspoken truth danced on the tip of her tongue…

As Colton set the champagne on the island, Crockett said hello to thekitchen staff. Movement on the screened porch caught his eye. Alexandra and Colton’s fiancée rose from the sofa and hugged. Though the women had been sitting in the dark, he recognized Alex right away.
And he couldn’t look away.
“How long has it been since you’ve seen Alexandra?” Colton asked.
“Eleven years. She’d just graduated high school.”
The two women scooted inside. “Too cold.” Brigit’s teeth chattered and Colton pulled her close.
Crockett had liked Brigit immediately. Petite, blonde and crazy smart, she was Colton’s equal in every way that mattered. But more than that, she made him happy.
Alexandra’s eyes grew wide. “Crockett.” Her blue lips quivered.
Blood pounded through his veins. She’s gorgeous. Large, caramel eyes blinked up at him. Dark brown hair flowed over her bare shoulders. Her elegant red holiday dress showed off her womanly curves, but her breathtaking beauty captured his heart.
“Hello, Goth Girl.” As they stared into each other’s eyes, he felt like he’d come home. And eleven long years compressed into mere minutes. He remembered how her eyes sparkled when she smiled at him, or that her sweet kisses could soothe his karate injuries. And how she’d undo him with her passion.
He smiled. Her gaze slid from his eyes to his mouth, then back into his eyes. The corners of her lips lifted. Then, a flash of anger shadowed her pretty face.
She flicked her head and squared her shoulders. Alexandra Mitus in defense mode. His heart tightened. That rigid posture had been his last image of her. Goddammit. She’s still pissed at me.
“Thanks for talking, Brigit,” she said, her attention still fastened on Crockett. “Excuse me, I’m going to check on Mom.” She walked away. Before vanishing around the corner, she glanced back at him.
He grinned. Not that pissed.

Safely out of view, Alexandra heaved in a shaky breath while trying to appear nonchalant. But she was on fire. Crockett Wilde had shorted her mind. She hated the power he had over her. Always had. My god, he’s gorgeous.
From the moment she’d laid eyes on him, at fourteen, he’d rocked her world. The summer after she’d graduated high school, they’d fallen crazy in love, or so she’d thought.
Seeing him now had awakened the best memories and the worst feelings. Clearly, time had been good to Crockett Wilde. Gangly no more, his massive, sculpted body was eye candy for her lonely soul. She’d always found him handsome, but when he’d pinned her with those baby blues she knew she was in trouble. His chiseled cheekbones and strong jawline made looking away impossible. Title: The Mitus Touch

Alright, i have to come out and say it: i was so horribly wrong. When i looked at the title of Stoni Alexander's first novel, The Mitus Touch, i honestly thought i'd be reading a book that had some paranormal aspects; i'm not quite sure why my brain went right for that, but it did. Maybe the title? Or maybe because i simply didn't take a second to read the blurb before diving right into this book, which i know i didn't. But that was the best misconception i could have every had! Why? Because i was more than a little surprised by the contents. A whole lot surprised by how i connected with the characters. And especially floored by how much i loved this book. Never would i have expected to see a corporate tycoon such as Colton Mitus make me want to meet him in real, especially considering just how he can dominate a room, a person and a situation with his mere presence, although i'll hand it to Brigit, she knows how to handle the kind of man that would make her want to feel nothing but his touch on her.
Together, these two were electric. They were the kind of couple that made me dream almost wistfully, hoping that somewhere (and if i were single of course) a man like that exists. Not without their own faults, they truly do have something that makes them perfect for one another. Every aspect of this book, from the chemistry between Colton and Brigit, to the suspense of what would happen to Brigit's family company, and even the complete unexpectedness of events that happen in between, had me at the edge of my seat, truly wanting to find out what would happen next. It's the kind of read that makes me want to reread it over and over again, which is exactly what i'll be doing in the future, that's for sure!
