Series: The Fragile Line Series Parts 1-3
Author: Alicia Kobishop
Genre: New Adult Romance
"This story has everything. There's love, loss, desire, passion and so much warmth between Chloe and Matt. They understand each other. Their connection is fierce. Their passion is combustible....I was blown away." ~Verna of Verna Loves Books Blog (The Fragile Line: Part One)
"I absolutely loved this continuation of Matt & Chloe's story! Again we get flawless writing, delicious angst, and scenes where the chemistry is super hot. When these two are together, you can feel their passion - they are perfect for each other." ~Lori of BF Bookies Book Blog (The Fragile Line: Part Two)
“This book is so passionate and so real. Alicia's writing will make you feel everything. Every struggle they have, every bit of pain they feel and the love. The love will flow through you.” ~Verna of Verna Loves Books (The Fragile Line: Part Three)
Part One of a Three-Part Story.
Chloe McCarthy has one rule when it comes to sex: one night, no strings. But for Logan Tanner, she made an exception.
Big mistake.
When he breaks off their ongoing friends-with-benefits arrangement for someone else, reality hits her hard. She's all alone and plummeting toward rock bottom. Until she runs into the one guy who can always make her smile. Matt Langston--mechanic by day, bouncer by night, ripped-and-tattooed-hot 24/7.
Matt would know that pink-tipped platinum-blonde hair anywhere. It's Chloe, doing a half-naked walk of shame. He knows she's no saint. Then again, neither is he--but he's no douchebag either. Her slumped shoulders and tear-stained cheeks ignite his protective instincts even as his better sense warns him she's a threat to his no-drama lifestyle.
As their friendship deepens, however, mutual desire reaches the boiling point. Chloe's body hungers for Matt as a lover--but the last thing she wants is to ruin the best thing that's ever happened to her with the best sex of her life...
Warning: This romance is appropriate for age 18+ only.
*The Fragile Line is a spin-off to The Fine Line, told in an addicting three-part romance novella series, with each part building on the last. Parts One, Two, and Three must be read in order. Reading The Fine Line first is not necessary, but will provide a further introduction to the characters which may enhance the overall reading experience.
Part Three of a Three-Part Story
In her heart, Chloe knows she's done the right thing to let Matt go. Her old life of clubbing, drinking, and hookups is over, but she isn't finished growing into the person she wants to be, much less a woman who's worthy of Matt's love.
She's not exactly moving on, but she's moving forward. Until she catches a glimpse of Matt on TV as one of the cast of the American Muscle reality show. And that's not all. He's holding hands with his co-star, Dalton Davis's beautiful daughter, Ava.
When Chloe walked away from Matt, he made a decision: he'd wait for her as long as it took. Meanwhile, he doesn't see any harm pretending to be with Ava just to appease her father--at first. But he can't pretend, not even for the cameras. Trouble is, Chloe has only seen half the story--the half that's a lie.
It may take a tragedy to bring her close enough to tell her--and show her--the whole truth.
Warning: This romance is appropriate for age 18+ only.
Alicia Kobishop is a contemporary romance writer who lives in Milwaukee, WI, USA with her husband and two children.
Before trying her hand in writing, she worked her way up in the field of administrative healthcare with experiences ranging from working within a large local healthcare organization, to smaller independent physician practices.
In early 2013 her life took a change of course when she re-evaluated her passions in life, and sought out to try many new things. She reclaimed her childhood passion for reading, and after reading tons of fictional novels in a short amount of time, and loving every moment of it, she became absorbed with the idea of taking her experience with books to the next level, and decided to write one. Nine months later, her debut novel, The Fine Line was published.

Title: The Fine Line
Author: Alicia Kobishop
Where to start? I had the chance to read the Fragile Line series just before reading The Fine Line, and they both follow a similar timeline, but entirely different at the same time. I had to often keep reminding that i was following a new set of characters with an entirely new story that was their own and stop trying to compare them and once i got that nice and straight in my brain, i absolutely enjoyed it! For a woman who had known hurt and abandonment from men that were important to her, Olivia did the one thing that came natural to her when she met Logan - she shut herself off, hoping that friend zoning him would keep her emotions safe from the fast growing attraction between them.
It's the kind of story that will make you experience it all and then take you through the wringer one last time just in case you weren't emotional enough. I couldn't get through The Fine Line fast enough and had to plow through every page to find out how these two would settle their issues and how Olivia would overcome her own personal fears. I absolutely enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading more from Alicia Kobishop!

Title: The Fragile Lines Part 1
Author: Alicia Kobishop
The first novel I've read by this author and I'm captivated. I had to read more and faster because I had to find out how Chloe would handle Matt, a man that she's never had to deal with before. He's different, he's commanding and he's not the man she had convinced herself she was in love with. Her attitude is downright awful and there's no doubt in my mind that she's used to getting what she wants and will stop at nothing to get it. Matt.... well Chloe's about to learn that he's not what she first thought him to be.
I must hand it to Alicia Kobishop for describing two individuals so thoroughly that I feel as strongly as I did about them. Chloe was far from my favorite person and yet finding out more about her helped in redeeming her, in understanding her better. Matt may come off as the tough guy who couldn't be bothered by the drama, but deep down, you know there's more to it. High praises on turning my opinion 180 degrees and making me believe that sometimes all you need is the perfect partner to bring out your best qualities.

Title: The Fragile Lines Part 2
Author: Alicia Kobishop
Continuing the story from where the first part left off, Alicia Kobishop spares no feelings to her readers and throws us all into a rabbit hole when it comes to Matt and Chloe. Now that they've settled into a sort of life together, a fast paced love story, after finally admitting how they feel for one another, their connection will be tested once more when Matt is offered the job of his dreams. But it's an offer that he can't or won't accept unless Chloe is on board with him for the long haul.
Just when you think you have these two figured out, something happens that throws you out of the loop and forces you to look at them with a new set of eyes. Their romance is so intense that even I don't know how they managed it so far, and yet, i can see how they balance one another out perfectly. I couldn't put this second part down because i HAD to find out what the ultimate decision would be... and what a great read it was...

Wow. For a conclusion to a series, Alicia Kobishop absolutely knows how to draw you back in and make your eyes tear up (in the good way). With the cliffhanger that we were given in the second part, it could have gone in so many ways, especially as Chloe watched Matt start, what she believed was, his new life with a woman he loved.

I won't lie. My jaw dropped a few times and i sputtered - i hoped against all hope that it wouldn't just end the way it did with both of them living separate lives. They came out and grew so much with each other's support that it did break my heart. I couldn't read fast enough to find out how it would all end and I had everything crossed hoping it would help. I can't wait to read more from Alicia Kobishop in the future!!
