The Promise of December (Book 1)
Christmas.
That bittersweet word that plays on my mind every goddamn year. Some people love it, I don’t like the fact I still live around it. Like any other child, Christmas for me was the most magical time of all. The winter walks, the smell of fresh cinnamon and candy canes, the excitement in the pit of my stomach where I found it hard to sleep. I loved that.
But once you reach adulthood you soon realise that life is cruel and fairy tales are bullshit! And at twenty-one, that magic and belief were torn from my grasp and I suddenly wanted to be that little girl again.
December now means nothing. Christmas hurts. And the only coldness I feel is what’s congealed around my heart. Nothing would change, and no one could change it.
Then I met him.
***This novella contains adult/mature young adult situations. It is only suitable for ages 18+ due to language and sexual situations***

“This book pulls you in from the first page. A mix of laughter, heart and love. We get to see a different side of December in this book. This is a story of how to change the way we feel about something that makes our heartache and find a way to see not only the goodness in it but may even find the happiness in it. Tamzin and Noel made me believe in the magic of Christmas.” – Shauna Lyons, Amazon Review.
“I loved everything about this book, beautiful characters, the author does a wonderful job of drawing you into their story. Once I picked it up I couldn't put it down! I would love to see more of them in another book. Thanks so much K.L. Jessop.” – Pam, Amazon Review.
Tamzin.
My eyes hurt with how wide they are, and my mouth begins to water as his bare chest gets more desirable by the second. That ‘look but don’t touch’ torture you always suffer as a child is having the same effect on me right now, and I completely understand why I always ended up crying when my grandparents slapped my wrists and yelled at me to behave. Desperately wanting to touch what I know I can’t. I must be dreaming, he’s way too sexy to be in my house.
“You don’t remember a thing, do you?” he says, grinning. He comes closer, causing me to step back and hitting my arse on the counter. He places his hands on the worktop either side of my waist. Flutters in my belly catch me by surprise. I swallow down my heart that’s in my dry throat, his eyes focusing on my lips before flicking back to mine. “Cat got your tongue, Tami?”
He smells divine, his proximity should be unnerving, but I want it. I want him. I shake my head and try to force my words, but they are nothing more than a breathy whisper. “I uh… did you… um…did we?” Get a grip woman. “Can you put a shirt on, please?”
His grin is wicked. “Like what you see, Tamzin?”
I feel my cheeks flush. “Just put on a shirt.”

The Promise of Forever (Book 2)
When Tamzin King stumbled into my life two years ago, I knew I had to make her mine.
Which I did.
The promises we made that December have stayed with us. They’ve changed us and created an unconditional love that no one can break.
She is my everything.
But when fear of what the future might hold suddenly hits me, it’s enough to knock me off kilter.
I’m a man who stands by his word. I put those I love first, and I never break the promises I keep.
Until the day that I do.

“The book has it all with the tension, the love, the heat and the passion (and my word they're a passionate pair!!). Plus of course the humour between the two characters, but also with the secondary characters too. Ruby is a super little individual in the story and adds some brilliant humour and chuckles as only a child can do!” – L Roach, Amazon Review.
“This is a wonderful heartfelt tremendous read for the holidays or anytime of the year. It's definitely going in my book as a favorite. There are exceptional secondary characters that I hope we will see in the future. This family needs to live on for a bit longer.” – Ramblings From Beneath the Sheets, Amazon Review.
The Restaurant is busy but this time of year it’s nothing unusual. People come and go with smiles on their faces and the glee of Christmas in their eye, shaking off the winter chill with a hot drink and good food.
“What’s on your mind, Tamzin?” I ask as she stares at the chip she’s pushing around her plate.
“Do you think I eat too much?” A look of concern on her face.
“Angel, you’re eating for two.”
“That’s not answering my question.”
“I never realised I had to be more in-depth.”
I knew this would happen. Our appointment with April and what she has said has put Tamzin’s mind on overdrive, and instead of getting to the point of what’s really worrying her, she diverts the conversation so she doesn’t have to talk about it.
She glares at me. “I asked if you think I’m fat.”
“Nooo, you asked if you ate too much.”
“It’s the same damn thing, Noel,” she barks, and I have to hold my words back with my own frustration at her sudden mood change. Rule number one: never piss off a pregnant woman. Rule number two: always agree even if you know damn well she’s wrong.

Kate has lived in South West England her entire life just on the edge of Dartmoor where the moorland goes on for days. It's beautiful, breath-taking and occasionally rather wet.
She is a dyslexic author and finds things challenging which often leads to banging her head against the wall or searching for vodka.
Kate loves anything creative, her college years were spent in the art room, she has numerous qualifications in advanced nail art and as well as writing her passion is photography.
She probably swears way more than she should and must be the only woman in history to hate clothes shopping. I know, right?!
