This
review is so hard to write and there were so many reasons for it.
However, my rating reflects how Jo Raven brought her characters to life,
rather than any other deciding factor.
So,
i may be a tad defective - i love dark and angsty books, and Mancave
felt like fluff and unicorns. It was full of broken characters whose
lives together is perfect but always expected something to go wrong. At
times it became frustrating.
Here's
why i had troubles - maybe having had read the previous instalment in
the series would have made a difference, may i would have built a
rapport between what happened to the characters and why they're acting
the way they are now. Or maybe i shouldn't have hoped for a huge
catastrophe to happen and just sat back and enjoyed.
It
really was well written - that Jo Raven can do hands down, but Mancave
is a book i'll have to try again at a later date and hope it gets my
attention more thouroughly.
