From all of Tia Louise's novels, Under The Lights has to be the most surprising. It's nothing like any of her previous books and she adds so many new elements to her characters that they remind me of those from Moulin Rouge, and i absolutely LOVE that movie! There characters in this story are nothing like any i've met from this author - they are fearless, independent, strong and full of surprises that i couldn't look away.
I wanted to know who they were. I wanted to like them. I wanted them to succeed. And i really wanted them to stick it to the haters and make it - how i needed that to happen. So much so that i hardly took a break and almost consumed this book as though my life depended on it. If nothing else, Tia Louise delivered an unforgettable story that kept me at the edge of my seat and truly wanting to find out this couple's destiny in the next instalment.
