What do you get when you cross a klutz with a GQ model lookalike?
Sounds like a bad joke, right? Only it’s my reality. And reality comes in the form of arm veins, dimples, and THE sexiest voice I’ve ever heard.
But there’s a slight issue. You see, I have a confession: I’m a klutz.
I’m used to it now and everything's going fine— if you don’t count the monthly trips to ER and the twenty-three jobs in the last four years—that is until I’m sent to New York.
The city of dreams… a klutz's worst nightmare.
Three weeks. Twenty-one days.
I can control it, right?
WRONG.
Let the fun begin.
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
you know how when you read a book and you think: 'wow... now this is just wrong and way too funny!' that was me when i read Confessions Of A Klutz. Only, there's a reason why i couldn't get enough of this book: Violet is me. Minus the thousands of trips to the hospital, but boy has my face and chest met walls i hadn't even noticed were there. And let's not start talking about the fact that i manage to trip over my own two feet. While standing up. Not moving. I swear. It's that bad. I can still hear my mother telling me 'don't touch that, you'll drop it and break it!' and i could have sworn i was so bloody careful and holding tight to whatever i had in my hand and next thing i knew, i turned my head, dropped the item and it shattered into pieces. Next thing i knew i was running for dear life at my mother's frustration only to smack into a door. #TrueStory it's that sad.
So klutz language, i know very well, and my daughter is being just as proficient at it too, only she blames whatever she hit for being in the way. Anyways!! This book was hilarious. I laughed so hard that my stomach started cramping from how funny it was. It was totally unexpected and insanely entertaining and i really couldn't get enough. I started the book at 2 pm and by 5pm, i was done. This also included me repeating multiple passages so that i could spread the wealth of the hilarity of this book only to get the oddest look ever and comments like 'is the character right in the head?' 'It's not normal to be that awkward and klutzy!' that's when i had to remind them of my own experiences and have them look at me just as oddly.
It was my first book by Abigail Davies and i loved it. Hands down my favorite romantic comedy of the year and i can't express how worth it this book really is. Now i'm looking forward to ella's story in the second instalment of the series and am impatiently waiting for it.
