This not being my first book by Carrie Ann Ryan, i was looking forward to her next book. To find out what she would deliver after i had read Whiskey Secrets and enjoyed Dare and Kenzie's story. Now we had a chance to get to know Fox and Melody's story and get to relive some of Whiskey's town history.

This story was much different from what i would have expected. While still as emotional as any other Carrie Ann Ryan novel, it also had more than one element of suspense that made more than a little curious to know Melody's past. What this author does is give you small glimpses of what's going on in Melody's life, making you thirsty for more. As for Fox, that man just doesn't seem like any other i've met before. He doesn't seem fulfilled with his current life, always searching for something to complete his life, he's sensitive and at the same time, very protective of people he feels are part of his inner circle. There were times when it was difficult for me to form a connection with this man since he was just all over the place.

Albeit my difficulties connecting with Fox, this story was quite interesting - the Collins family is becoming more fascinating as we get more of their stories, and i know for a fact that i can't wait to get the final brother's story with his best friend, because yeah... this man has been quite interesting since the first time i came across him - the husband that takes care of his daughter alone while his best friend gives him a hand whenever she can. They are simply, well, curiosity embodied and i can't wait to get their story!
