There
are days when I find myself so incredibly lucky that I discovered the
indie community of authors because sometimes, that`s when you find the
biggest pearl in the smallest of clams – yeah, yeah, I know, horrible,
horrible analogy, but I think you get what I mean by now. That`s how I
discovered Carrie Ann Ryan and her books.
I
started with the Montgomery Ink series and worked my way through her
library, hoping that I managed to read the big majority of them, and I
also saw when she was added to the 1001 Dark Nights series lineup and
was excited to see what else this author would deliver from there. And
boy did she ever deliver, especially with the newest addition in the
Montgomery series with Inked Nights.
While
I really do love her full length novels, I especially enjoy how she
takes her novella and makes them even hotter, and thus, unforgettable.
So yeah, while the book is shorter, it doesn`t feel as such. The pace is
a bit quicker, but in my mind, we get to the fun parts faster, which I
really like. These characters have known each other for years, and I
enjoyed the fact that they were seeing one another once a month before
finally realizing just how much they`ve known each other and how.
I
really enjoyed this story and can`t wait to find out which story we`re
getting next since I know that no matter what we`re getting, it`s the
story that will get me wanting so much more from this author in the
future.
