Title: Reckless
Series: Deathstalkers MC
Author: Alexis Noelle
Genre: MC Romance
Release Date: August 20, 2018
Forbidden.
Off Limits.
Unattainable.
Those are the rules.
I can’t claim her--a club girl.
A club whore if we're cutting the shit.
But Carly is different,
Something about her makes me want to break all the rules,
Break the code,
Keep her for myself,
And make damn sure my brothers don't touch one inch of her.
That's a dangerous promise,
But for her, I'm ready to get a little reckless.
This is not my first rodeo with Alexis Noelle - there are so many stories that i read from her, but what hits me the most with her, is the humor that she adds to her stories. They always make me laugh out loud. Not the LOL laugh out loud where you write it and barely crack a smirk, but the bursting out laughing because you get the humor. You can't stop yourself from laughing because it was unexpected.
Reckless, while a story i would absolutely expect from this author, was nothing like my previous experiences with Alexis Noelle. Oh, it was still as good as i would have expected from her, but it was more emotional, more raw and touched subjects that i can't remember seeing from her so far.
Not having had read each and every book from this series, i can't honestly say whether or not we've met these characters in the past. Which was a point that bothered me because it felt like a loose end, and i have a tendency of not liking loose ends. So i racked my brain more often than i'd care to admit to figure out if we've heard of these two before. I honestly can't say i have.
One of the things i have to commend this author on, is the fact that she brought up the subject of abuse, of mental abuse. That it's not always the bruises on the body that you can see that says you're an abuse victim, that sometimes it's the mental scars that you carry around on you that will hurt just as much. She wrote this aspect with grace and that needs to be said.
I enjoyed this story for sure. It was quick and fast paced, but it was also well done so that i could relate to the characters. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author in the future for sure!
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Alexis Noelle lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with three kids. On top a writing career, she is a full-time student and a full-time mom. She loves spending time with her kids, although she has to hide the computer from them when she is writing! She love being active and being outdoors, especially if it involves any kind of shopping.
She has always been passionate about writing. She loves to read romance books and feels like being able to lose yourself in a book is one of the more exciting aspects. The books she loves to read and write will be ones that make you feel for the characters. Ashley believes that you should have an opinion on every character in a book whether you love them, hate them, or think they are up to something. She also believes that the most important critic is your reader, so she loves to hear from the readers. She want her fans to be open & talk to her about what they want for the characters in the story, and what they would like to see happen.
