My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I thought that the first book broke me, it was nothing compared to Back To You. It was worst. It was torture and being brought back from the brink on so many occasions that i wasn't even sure on how these characters survived their ordeal. How they managed to find that silver lining that would make them fight harder to be whole once more.
This book won't be for everyone. The subjects are heavy and can be disturbing, but i assure you that when you do sit down to read this book, you'll be grateful that you did. Claudia Burgoa makes no apologies for how she writes, what she writes and how it makes you feel (i've seen that very rarely in few authors and love that they do this), and it's some of the main reasons on why you should read this book anyways.
Back To You is the conclusion to this duet, and it's incredibly well done. So much so that you have chills running up and down your back and wonder if you'll be able to survive the storyline. It's one of those stories that goes beyond physical pain and shows you the mental struggle that you go through, the work, the pain, the uncertainties on whether or not you can survive. But survive you do because in the end, you don't want those that wanted to break you to win. And that is a lesson that everyone needs to learn - that the haters can't and shouldn't win.
I can't wait to see what else Claudia Burgoa has to offer her readers because since that very first book i read from her, she's one of those authors that you can't forget.

What can I say about this book? Ouch. That sums it up pretty good. My heart hurt. My head hurt. And soul hurt for the pain that these characters went through. It’s taking me much longer than I would like to post my review, but this is the kind of book that makes you think. It makes you realize just how much one person can make or break you. How that one person can help you heal. But most of all, it shows you just how much pain and suffering one person can suffer and still make it out alive at the end of the road.
It’s not my first book by this author, but the fact that Claudia Burgoa has evolved so much since that first book I read, it’s truly amazing. It still astounds me to the point that i`m both scared (in a good way) and excited to read her next book. It’s the kind of scared that makes me wonder if my ‘ouch’ will survive her emotional train ride that i`m being put through when I pick up her book and go through that journey alongside her characters. Two huge thumbs up from me for this book and i`ll be looking forward to the next instalment in this duet.
