I've come to relate intense emotional scenes to Jenna Jacob's novels and The Doms of Genesis. Her characters are touching and unforgettable while the stories are something that I hadn't had the opportunity to read about yet. Don't get me wrong, I've read BDSM and their club themed books before and love them, but it shows when an author has experience in the lifestyle and by reading Craving His Command, you know that Jenna Jacob has some experience.
I'm not sure how best to describe this book, but i know that tears formed in my eyes and a lump lodged in my throat while I listened to Kellan's life story and why he keeps his distance from Mercy. This girl is smart and cunning, so eager to please but not willing to simply submit to any Dom after her experience with Kerr. Here's where this story greatly differed from any other - Jenna Jacob made an emphasis on the connection between Mercy and Kellan rather than the physical one but no less tempting. I loved this since it was so very unexpected from this author and i simply can't wait to read more from her in the future. Needless to say that this made on of my lists of favorites of 2017 - Top 3 BDSM of 2017.
