I'm not quite sure how nor what to make of this story. Zoe Blake is a new author to me and it was the blurb that totally drew me in. I'm ot certain how to rate this novel because while it's a romantic suspense with mafia elements, it had other aspects that made the Dd/lg dynamic something completely at odds with the tone of the book.





There's no denying that the chemisty in this book is through the roof and a good portion of the Dd/lg well captured - it doesn't take long to realize that Logan needs to both protect and punish Chloe for her actions. Only, what confuses me is how this man can feel as strongly about a woman he must get rid of and who has never deviated from his path until now. He's sadistic (which i personally have no problems with), but i have a feeling many others will since much of his action can be a trigger for many. While i may be on the fence on what i think about this book, there were still some parts that i did enjoy and others that left me just 'meh'.
