Excuse me while I spend the next few hours going on that book hangover after reading this book! How I loved Heathered Country! So much so that not even half way through I went and bought all of the previous books in the series just so I could spend more time with this MC gang that I had first met in Unbroken Fates (and obviously in the series, but I hadn't had a chance to read those yet). G.M Scherbert absolutely knows how to write a story that will pull you in and keep you under until you've read her book in one sitting. Which is exactly what happened with me! To read just how Heather's fright at having her daughter Sophie taken her away has kept her off the grid ever since she left in the middle of the night and her distrust in relationships has kept her heart under lock and key after what's happened with her ex Zach, kept me on the edge. But it's when Country and Bull make her question her decisions that had me captivated- they pushed her more than she ever thought possible, wanting to keep her all to themselves, even going so far as to claiming her in front of all to see. Their relationship is put to the test when Zach finds Heather and Sophie, threatening to do harm should he ever catch them after spending the last 6 years looking for them.
Who would have thought that Heather would have been as lucky as Pearl in finding two men ready and willing to give her everything that she needs. So much so, that even with Country's belief that no man should put his hand on a woman, he questions and realizes the difference between pleasure and pain, and abuse, wanting to satisfy all of Heather's needs. This trio was amazing. I loved watching them struggle to even start a relationship, find their places in each other's lives and then fight beside one another as they realize that Zach needs to be stopped. It's an amazing story that I look forward to reading more about this close knit MC family and from G.M. Scherbert!
