JA Huss & Johnathan McClain
(Tall, Dark, and Handsome #2 (Sexpert #2))
Publication date: October 30th 2018
Genres: Adult, Comedy, Romance
MYRTLEPIERCE
I’m a just an erotic woman who likes control.
And edgy sex.
And hard men.
At the same time.
So starting an outreach class at the TDH community center to teach other women how to put the dom in dominatrix was inevitable. Even if I was only doing it to use my boss, Pierce, as my submissive example and pay him back for humiliating me in front of the whole world last summer.
I regret what I did to Myrtle. She’s the best assistant I’ve ever had and I’ll play along—for now—because I want to make things right. But… come on. Me? A submissive? Ha. Myrtle Rothschild might have the upper hand at the moment… but I’m bringing my A-game. I’m gonna take back control.
She can wear her hot, thigh-high latex boots. She can crack that whip all she wants. Hell, I’ll even let her leave marks.
But I’m about to school Ms. Rothschild in the art of who’s the boss.
And she’s about to get Pierce-d.

The Triangle
JA Huss & Johnathan McClain
(Shape of Love Series #1)
Publication date: September 25th 2018
Genres: Erotic Romantic Suspense
“A suspenseful, tangled, erotic love story from the twisted minds of New York Times Bestselling author, JA Huss, and actor/screenwriter, Johnathan McClain.”Alec. Christine. Danny.
This is how you say our names.
Danger is our drug of choice, the triangle our addiction.
Alec. Golden boy with diamonds in his eyes.
Christine. Partner in crime and owner of my heart.
They know what they want.
Me.
Danny. Unsure of everything they’re offering.
But if she needs me, I come.
So when he called, I went. It’s just that simple.
Until it wasn’t.
Until all those memories come rushing back with all the things we left behind.
I only know three things.
There is no her without him.
No me without them.
No we without us.
We are Alec, Christine, and Danny.
And this is the shape of our love.
Goodreads / Amazon / Barnes & Noble / iBooks / Kobo
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Yes,
yes. I freely admit it: when it comes to J.A Huss and Johnathan
McClain, there is nothing that's going to stop me from getting my grubby
little hands on their books because hot damn. Together, they make one
heck of a good story to read.
The
Triangle was nothing like i would have expected. I thought i'd get
something along the lines of the Turning series, but i was so very
wrong. This was a mix of K Webster/M Never/JA Huss/Ann Mayburn/Johnathan
McClain all mixed into one hella hot book. This was intense. It was
dark, hot, chemistry aplenty and so much angst and suspense that i was
at the edge of my bed trying to get closer to my kindle so that i wasn't
going to miss a single moment of what was happening to these three
characters.
They
were so different from one another that it was fascinating to see how
they meshed well together to give each other what they needed and when
they needed it. I enjoyed watching their dynamic amongst one another,
and loved seeing what they could do because let's face it, we're talking
about mobsters and killers here...
Am
i excited to read the next instalment of this series? Oh absolutely! Am
i willing to be patient about it? Not one single bit. Because there is
only so long that i want to wait and lately, i don't have much patience
when it comes to the good stuff.

—
EXCERPT:
CHRISTINEDanny folds his arms across his chest. Defiant.
But Alec is already pushing me through the open apartment door. “Don’t worry. He’ll follow. It’s his fokken apartment, isn’t it?”
My eyes are still locked with Danny’s when I disappear inside.
Alec kicks the door closed, pushes me up against the wall, places both hands on my cheeks, and kisses me on the mouth.
Fuck.
I sink into him.
Absolutely sink.
The door slams open, hitting the wall so hard I know there’s a hole in the sheetrock. “Get your fuckin’ hands off her,” Danny says, pulling me away.
I spin into him. Bounce against the hard muscles of his chest. And an instant later his arms are wrapped around me, replacing the heat of Alec with the heat of him.
Sinking is something I could get used to. Because I do it again.
“Now you’re getting the idea,” Alec says.
“Oh, I’ve got ideas,” Danny says. “I’ve lots of ideas. And all of them involve me cracking that pretty face of yours into pieces.”
“Promises,” Alec huffs, taking a step forward.
“Back the fuck up, van den Berg. Now.”

The Sexpert
JA Huss & Johnathan McClain
Publication date: July 24th 2018
Genres: Adult, Comedy, Romance
A new standalone romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author, JA Huss, and Actor/Screenwriter, Johnathan McClain.EDEN
I’m just a simple girl who likes dessert. And sexy men. And social media. So starting an anonymous video channel called The Sexpert as a side hustle to make up for my low-paying marketing job at Le Man Magazine seemed like a perfectly sensible career decision. Until we went viral, my boss accused my anonymous personality of stealing his idea, and now my super sexy new boyfriend, Andrew, is out to get me.
Her. Me. Whatever.
ANDREW
I don’t want it to be her. I do not want this… sweet, delicious, shy social media nerd working at my best friend’s magazine to be the face behind those perky cupcakes on the Sexpert channel. I don’t want it to be her… because I like her. A lot. She’s funny, and quirky, and smart, and creative… and… I really, really like her. It just can’t be her.
But it is.
And now I have to choose.
My best friend?
Or… The Sexpert?

ADD TO GOODREADS
From all of the books in this series, i have to say that Passion Rising was my favorite. Even with all the shockers, the suspense, the cliffhangers of the previous books just couldn't quite come up with the pull i had with Tyler and Maddie in this book.
They felt so incredibly strong and emotional. As though everything they've been through tested their link to one another and forced them to really weigh in whether or not their relationship was worth fighting for. If it was worth having gone through everything they had to be with one another. They felt believable in a way that i'm not quite sure if i can find the right words to describe them.
There was just something about Passion Rising that had me pay closer attention to how these two characters evolved since the beginning - how Maddie found something in Tyler that helped her focus, and in Tyler, he found Maddie able to calm his erratic thoughts. These two completed one another in a way that i didn't quite notice in the first instalment.
I just hope that through it all, these two author collaborate in more books together - the fact that Johnathan McClain brought to life the male POV in a way that i personally think women might not fully comprehend (because let's face it, we're not men and only men can be men), and J.A. Huss managed to bring to life Maddie in a way that reminded me of myself not too long ago. These two are amazing together and i can only hope that it's not the end of their collaboration novels.

MADDIE
It strikes
me suddenly that I’m not the only one who will notice how fucking good Tyler
looks now that he’s all clean-shaven and you can really see that ridiculously
fortunate bone structure he has. And I’m a little embarrassed about the fact
that I just got all possessive and shit. I’m about to say something to that
effect, either make a joke or play it off, but before I can, Tyler grabs me
around the waist, pulls me to him and whispers, “That was so fucking hot,” just
as the doors to another elevator pop open.

Payback is owed.
And Maddie Clayton is going to collect. This
time Carlos and Logan have gone too far. People are dead, lives have been
changed, and she’s had enough. Plus, she’s got the Devil on her side, so when
an enemy turns into a friend with an idea of how to take Carlos down, she’s in.
Tyler Morgan has been fighting back his whole
adult life. He’s ready for anything when it comes to payback. But endangering
Maddie can’t be part of the deal. Unfortunately for him, once Maddie gets an
idea in her head, there’s no stopping her.
Her debt has been paid in blood and she wants
revenge.
His fight is still there, but now he’s got
more at stake than himself.
The end is coming.
But even if they win against Carlos, they can
still lose each other.

I did not expect this story. Didn't
expect where these two authors would bring their readers, especially
after the evens that happened during the second book of the Original
Sins series. JA Huss and Johnatha McClain are really interesting
together - their point of views are nothing that i could have imagined,
nor is it like anything i could have imagined. You'd think that a male's
point of view would be crass and methodotic, but in reality, it's just
all over the place! That's Tyler. Getting the chance to be more in his
head, to get right down to how he feels about Maddie, and how far he'd
go to protect her; yeah, twenty thumbs up for that.
In
Flesh into Fire, we really get into Maddie and how her quest for
revenge for the wrongdoings that have been done to her and well, that
woman is maybe a little insane, a whole lot of determined and just a tad
too willing to do just about anything to get what she wants and needs.
After the emotional coaster ride that we've been through, this book was
refreshing. Still emotional, but there was action and suspense that kept
me at the edge of my seat.
Knowing that there's only
one book left in this series, trust me, i'm really, really curious and
anxious to find out just what'll happen between Maddie and Tyler - are
they really fated to be together for the rest of their lives? Will they
make it through the paces that Carlos puts them through? So many
questions and i know that it'll be all answered through that last book.

TYLER
I roll our
interlaced fingers over so that I can see the back of her hand. It’s strong,
but delicate. Long fingers and white skin. Veins that tense with the clench of
her grip. Freckles. Just a few light, faint, perfect freckles.
I have the
same thought I had the other day. That I want to learn her. Her body. Every
millimeter of her. I want it burned into my brain. I want to imprint her into
my memory before she goes. I want to study her. I want to have a PhD in Maddie
Clayton.
I let go of
her hand and stand up, turn to face her and then kneel down.
“What are
you doing?” she asks.

What
can i say about this book? First off - you should really have read the
first instalment if you haven't done so before starting the second book
in this series. Second - i love being able to read the male perspective
through the mind of a male author and the female through the female
view. Not that men can't write female point of views or vice versa that
women can't write male point of views. There's just something about
reading it through the male brain that gives you a better insight. It
simply reminds me of the saying 'women are from Venus and men from Mars'
or even 'Women, can't live with them, can't live without them'. There
are so many other adages that we'd probably be here all night if i were
to name them all.
The
first instalment to the series left me a bit wonky - i was on the fence
on whether or not i loved the book, and it didn't catch my attention as
much as i would have liked. Going into the second book, i didn't hope
for anything in particular, nor did i have any idea on where these
authors would bring us for the journey.
Honestly?
I'm so bloody glad that i went in, dipping my toes first and then
plunging the rest of my body afterwards because it was totally worth it.
Especially unexpected. There were so many elements that made it
emotional and i couldn't read it fast enough to find out what was to
happen to Tyler and Maggie after what went down in the previous book. I
loved seeing these two struggle (yes, bad me for thinking it was great)
mostly because it made them real and i could easily relate to them. It's
the kind of book that you won't easily forget.
So
the reviews that say the reader cried - they weren't exaggerating.
There's a bit of everything in Angels Fall that you can't help but feel
all the emotions, all the ups and downs and the whirlwind of feelings
they have for one another. I can't wait to get my hands on the next
instalment of this series because wow. Johnathan McClain and JA Huss
know what they're doing when they're co writing together.

Tyler leans
in closer still, and I really, really wish he would not do that. Because I hate
him and don’t want him anywhere near me. Or maybe because I can feel the heat
of his body and he kinda smells delicious. Which just pisses me off more
because I hate him.
