Holy. Hell. What did i just read there? Nixon was insane! For real! I mean, i've read the previous four fathers series *spoiler alert, if you haven't read wheeler beforehand like i hadn't, then you'll pretty much know what happens in that book in the first two chapters of Nixon*.
This book was like a kick in the face with awwwww moments and then the 'holy crap' moment that makes you have to reread that passage, just because. This was nothing like i expected it and i absolutely loved it for that! It was dark, it was intense and it was twisted in so many great ways.
These are the Pearson brothers. If you're read Pearson from Four Fathers, then you have a pretty good idea of which brother is which, but seriously, getting the chance to go into their heads one by one, that can't get any better than that. Before starting this series, i thought we were getting the four brothers stories, of the sons of the four fathers. Yeah. Nope. You're really getting Eric Pearson's sons in your face and you have to deal with all the crap they went through as they digest the information.
I wish i could say as much as i would like about this book, but i won't because it'll only take away from the story, and trust me, whatever you think you know about Nixon, you're not even halfway close to the truth. Trust. Me. This boy. Man. Child. Partner? Who knows what to call him, but Nixon is everything you never saw coming and more.
Now i can't wait to read the rest of this series and find out more about these brothers and see if i was as wrong about them as i was about Nixon.

Meet Author Ker Dukey
I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bedtime stories with my sisters. I wanted to be an actress growing up so I could live many roles but I learned early on that my mind was too active… I would want to change the script. I would watch films and think of ways they could have improved the story if they took another direction so I thought it best that I tell my own.
My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made of light, some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling.
When I’m not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I’m a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister.

I`m
sorry. I have to say it loud: Ven is so far my favorite ‘bad/good’ guy
in the V Game series by these two authors. He scared the crap out of me
because here`s a man that is so calculating in everything that he does
that you can`t help but wonder what he has planned. He may seem like the
guy that you can overlook, but boy is he like a viper. When you least
expect it, he will come out and strike and you might not make it out
alive.
Here
is a series about three families, three powerful mafia families that
have no qualms in using anyone to reaching their goal, and most of the
time, it`s to become the leader in the leading trio of families. When
you`re not paying too much attention, you risk getting a bit lost in the
whole thing, but when you listen carefully, you know that this second
generation is ready to become stronger, deadlier and more cunning than
their parents. And that my friends, is why you can`t turn your back on
these people.
You
think you know exactly what`s going to happen, but these two authors: K
Webster and Ker Dukey are there to make sure that you understand that
that`s not happening. You`ll constantly be on the edge of your seat
trying to figure out the next step and chances are that you won`t even
begin to quite grasp what will happen until it actually does. That`s why
I love this series – it`s unexpected. It`s deadly. And it`s incredibly
gripping. I can`t wait for more from these two!

it's
the first time that i've read a duet between K Webster and Ker Dukey -
i'm a fan of K Webster's, but never had the opportunity to read a novel
by Ker Dukey so far. Honestly, i can't tell either apart when it came to
reading Vlad, and usually i have no problems makes out who is who when
two authors get together.
This
book was nothing like i could have ever imagined - for some reason i
was thinking this would be incredibly dark, twisted and so very taboo in
ways that i never would have expected. However, that wasn't exactly
what i received. There was so much more than that and it absolutely
surprised me. It was full of suspense, mystery and emotion when it came
to Vlad and Irina. They make me think of star crossed lovers of sorts -
if they were in mafia families and regularly held Games to find out who
would come out the victor.
I
was entranced by this story, by how these two authors came together to
write a book that made me more than a little curious to find out what
else they have in store for their readers. I wish i had read more from
this duo until now, but boy was this book my perfect introduction to
what they can deliver.
