I
had the opportunity to read Amber Lacie's The Pieces That Built Me as a
beta reader and i still remember getting those moments where i had
goosebumps running down my arms from how Arlington was put through the
ringer so many times over. I've read every single book of Amber lacie's
and they simply keep getting better and better.
In her Shadows duet, we find out how two broken individuals can heal each other through love.
In pretty; we find out what obsession can do and how love will make you believe in beauty once again.
In Breathe, we're put through the ringer, torn apart, broken and pieced together as we follow one woman's journey in love.
In Indigo, we realize that not every woman is looking for a knight in shining armour, but their equal.
But
in her latest book, she puts all of the emotions we went through, wraps
them up in a captivating story and i'm certain, secretly hopes you fall
apart as you curse her from the tears falling from your eyes (i'll deny
that part every happened to me, no matter what). The Pieces That Built
Me has fast become among one of my favourite books from not only this
author, but in its genre (drama, new adult, contemporary romance) for
2017/2018. I'm almost afraid to find out what she'll come up with for
her next book, especially considering what she's written so far.

A little taste of Arlo and August
Guilt crept into the back of my mind as I scooted closer to August. Fuck the consequences. Fuck the guilt. How could something that made me feel so alive, be bad? My hand slipped into his as his other hand wrapped around my waist. His hazel eyes looked down at me, and our lips crashed together. My nerves jolted from his mere touch. The way his tongue danced across mine had me pulling at his shirt, as my fingers slid underneath it. His hot skin felt amazing under mine. I was lost to him.
I grew up in Chicagoland and now live in quaint little town in Northwest Indiana. I have two beautiful children and husband who worships the ground I walk on (or at least he should). I've always loved reading. Now I'm expanding that love into writing and look forward to producing many books.
I'm a huge geek and proud of it. Books are my life. I love reading, especially fiction. It doesn't matter the genre or age group. I will read anything from comics to novels. I read at least one book a day. If it wasn't for my kindle, my living room would be overflowing with books.
