I’m Noah Weston. For a decade, I’ve quarterbacked America’s most iconic football team and plowed my way through women. Now I’m transitioning from star player to retired jock—with a cloud of allegation hanging over my head. So I’m escaping to the private ocean-front paradise I bought for peace and quiet. What I get instead is stubborn, snarky, wild, lights-my-blood-on-fire Harlow Reed. Since she just left a relationship in a hugely viral way, she should be the last woman I’m seen with.
On second thought, we can help each other…
I need a steady, supportive “girlfriend” for the court of public opinion, not entanglements. Harlow is merely looking for nonstop sweaty sex and screaming orgasms that wring pleasure from her oh-so-luscious body. Three months—that’s how long it should take for us both to scratch this itch and leave our respective scandals behind. But the more I know this woman, the less I can picture my life without her. And when I’m forced to choose, I’ll realize I don’t merely want her in my bed or need her for a ruse. I more than love her enough to do whatever it takes to make her mine for good.
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
From
all of the More Than Words series, More Than Love You was my favourite
by far! I've been a fan of Shayla Black's for quite some time, never
really knowing what she'll come up with next - one minute you'll get
something cute and adorable, another, suspense. Then you might get
something to get your body sweating for so many reasons, and then you
get More Than Love You - a book that is a little bit of everything
rolled into a story that you probably didn't see coming.
I
remember reading about Noah in past books from this series - it's a bit
hard to miss the big deal with closing the sale of his multimillion
dollar home when it comes to the Reed brothers. And of course we had
heard about Harlow. Not too much until now, she was always there during
the books, but her identity and who she really is was always more of a
mystery. Can i say that this girl rocks? She's confident, neurotic
(yeah, i have a penchant for neurotic women, because who in the world
isn't?!?! In the real world, we women have a tendency of being
everywhere and nowhere on a good day and that also includes myself in
this) and she also has a wealth of information when it comes to
something that she is passionate about. That you can feel just by
reading the book. Noah, as for him, well, he's not the kind of man that
you can ignore. How many times have you watched a football or sports
game and heard that the athlete has suffered a concussion and wondered
what would happen in the long run? The mystery is no longer. While i
know that the situation isn't the same with everyone, Shayla Black
definitely opened my eyes on the risks, the symptoms and even the long
term effects.
It
was very well written and engaging, making me more than a little
curious to find out what and who else Shayla Black has in store for her
next book in this series. For certain, it'll be something to truly look
forward too.

“Hi, Sleeping Beauty.” She grins my way.
“Sorry about that. I can’t remember the last time I just fell off.”
“You obviously needed it. Feel better?”
“Tons. Thanks. How about you?”
“Great. I love drinking alone.” Her smirk says she’s poking harmlessly at me again. “But you gave me time to finish the dishes, do some laundry, read War and Peace…”
“Stop,” I groan. “Three hours is a long nap. I admit it. You going to ease up now?”
“When teasing you is so fun?” She raises a brow. “What do you think are the odds?”
Shitty. “How can I make it up to you? If you want to hop out of the pool and come to my bedroom, I’ll do my best to put a big smile on your face.”
“I’m intrigued,” she admits. “But in between chapters of the sad Russian saga, I Googled you. You’re, um…a big deal.”
I feel heat rush to my face. I’m used to people talking about me, but I’ve never been completely comfortable with it. “I’m told I was. But like I said, I’m retired now.”
“Hall of Famer, for sure.”
“So my agent assures me.” I shrug. “I’m trying not to linger in the past. I still have a lot of life to live.”
She splashes around a little more. “I don’t know. You’re practically ancient compared to me.”
Is this woman going to rib me about everything? Probably. And I still think it’s oddly adorable. It’s way more entertaining than the bowing, scraping, and yes-sirring I’ve been hearing for years. “How much older?”
“Almost nine years. When you were graduating from high school, I was starting junior high. These days, do you need vitamins before sex or a little blue pill?”
Now she’s laughing, and I find myself smiling in return. “Fuck you.”
“That is the idea…”
“Come here, baby.”
Her eyes sparkle under the moonlight, and it’s all I can do not to jump in after her, clothes and all. I want my hands on her now.
“Why don’t you drop trou and come in after me?”
“You’re all wet.”
She purses her lips together, and I know she’ll make one hell of a sexy bad girl. “Don’t you want me that way?”
The way I feel now? Every day, all day. “Just your pussy. That should be juicy and swollen and ready for my cock. The rest of you shouldn’t be wet unless I’m making you sweat in pleasure.”
“You sweet talker, you…”.

Shayla Black is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of more than fifty novels. For nearly twenty years, she’s written contemporary, erotic, paranormal, and historical romances via traditional, independent, foreign, and audio publishers. Her books have sold millions of copies and been published in a dozen languages.
Raised an only child, Shayla occupied herself with lots of daydreaming, much to the chagrin of her teachers. In college, she found her love for reading and realized that she could have a career publishing the stories spinning in her imagination. Though she graduated with a degree in Marketing/Advertising and embarked on a stint in corporate America to pay the bills, her heart has always been with her characters. She’s thrilled that she’s been living her dream as a full-time author for the past eight years.
Shayla currently lives in North Texas with her wonderfully supportive husband, her teenage daughter, and two spoiled tabbies. In her “free” time, she enjoys reality TV, reading, and listening to an eclectic blend of music.

More Than Love You, an all-new sexy romance from New York Times and USA Today bestselling Shayla Black is coming February 13th!

More Than Love You is a sexy and emotional standalone novel in the More Than Words Series.
Excerpt:
“Noah?”
At the sounds of splashing, I turn to find Harlow emerging from the pool, walking up one step at a time, dripping, swaying with every step, and completely blowing my mind. Her long hair clings to her pretty breasts, flirting with her plump nipples. Her waist dips in, then flares out to a pair of hips I want my hands on. She’s sleek and sexy and stunning.
I can’t find words for an entirely different reason than before. She leaves me speechless.
“Can you hand me a towel from over there?” She points to the patio table.
On autopilot, I back toward the surface, never taking my eyes off her. When I bump into the glass, I grope behind me until terry cloth fills my hand. Then I race toward Harlow. “Need anything else?”
She takes the towel from me, and we’re standing so close I can smell her scent mixed with a tinge of chlorine. “A shower. Then an orgasm or two, preferably that you give me.”
Did I hear her right? “You sure?”
Harlow nods, her gaze tangling with mine. “I want to fuck.”
It takes a split second for her declaration to sink in. I was convinced she wouldn’t want me after she figured out I’m just a man with flaws. Then again, she was never looking to get laid from someone ESPN hailed as a football god. She just wants pleasure.
The way she holds my gaze singes me with heat. It sizzles across my skin, burning the flesh under my surface. I can’t quite breathe.
I have a feeling she’s going to be trouble—and I don’t care.
“Let’s do it.” Taking the towel from her grip, I jerk it until it unfolds, then wrap it around her back, covering the dripping ends of her hair. Then I tug her against me. Her skin feels cool pressed to my overheated chest. I don’t dare kiss her now. The way I want her, I’ll lay her out on the first available surface, and I’d rather save my knees the agony of looking for the leverage to fuck her properly on a chaise lounge.
Digging for restraint, I drag in a rough breath. If I’m already having trouble resisting her, how bad will the craving be once I’ve had a taste?
I shove the thought aside. “I won’t go easy on you.”
“I never thought you would.”
“I won’t be gentle.”
“Good. I may be small, but I’m not fragile.”
“I won’t be quick. Expect me to be at you all night.”
A sly smile curls up the sides of her lips that turns me on even more. “I’ll hold you to that.”
I run out of ways to warn her that I intend to turn her inside out and wring her dry before I let her leave my bed. But fuck it, I’ll let my body do the talking.
Bending, I lift her to my chest. She’s a tiny thing. Given her boobs and hips, I thought she would be heavier to carry, but I’ve curled barbells that weigh more. “Then let’s go.”
Her smile becomes a grin as she wraps her arms around my neck. “Consider me happily along for the ride.”

Release Date: June 13, 2017
Designer: Rachel Connolly
Photographer: Sara Eirew

Sixty days. That’s what I’m asking the gritty, independent single mother to give me—twenty-four/seven. Under my roof. And if I have my way, in my bed. Britta says she wants nothing to do with me. But her body language and passionate kisses make her a liar. Now all I have to do is coax her into surrendering to the old magic between us. Once I have her right where I want her, I’ll do whatever it takes to prove I more than need her.
This book is the second in the More Than Words series. The books are companions, not serials, meaning that backstory, secondary characters, and other elements will be easier to relate to if you read the installments in order, but the main romance of each book is a stand-alone.
This book contains lines that may make you laugh, events that may make you cry, and scenes that will probably have you squirming in your seat. Don’t worry about cliffhangers. HEA guaranteed! (Does not contain elements of BDSM or romantic suspense.)

Title: More Than Need You
Author: Shayla Black

If you've read More Than Want You, then you remember Griffin. I know i remember and couldn't get over what he did to Britta and how he acted. Trust me, i was ready to be judge, jury and executioner when it came to that man because from one day to the next, he simply left, walking away from what i could only think as the best thing that's ever to happen to him, even his family. To say that he wasn't painted in the best of lights in the first instalment would be an understatement but i still wanted to know why he did what he did and how he could do it.

In true Shayla Black fashion, Griffin had to work hard to get back into Britta's good graces and to have her trust him (and with good reason too!) but in a sadistic sort of way, it's nothing that he didn't deserve. In the end, i loved watching these two try to mend their broken relationship, to get their facts straight and even find out if there's still something between them. This series is probably one of my favorites from Shayla Black mostly because i get to fall in love with each character (and revisit them later) as we get their story!
