I know that we all come to expect authors to get better as they release more and more novels as they go along, but rarely does it happen so early in their career. It's no secret that Remy Blake is an author duo; the male counterpart making no secret of his part in the duo (which I won't divulge in my review for a few reasons), but the well guarded secret of the female counterpart has me more curious lately than I would care to admit. And not to divulge that information, but rather because I'm curious to find out just how much their original works (individually) differs from their duo'd work. From Remy's male counterpart, it's almost day and night, and I love it. Having had the chance to read their debut novel, I have to say that Guardian was much better planned out, more entrancing and especially, more feel good emotions from me thank I could have ever thought.





When Brock gets the guardianship of his college best friend's daughter, Ivy, after he suddenly dies, Brock expected an impressionable young girl, not the seductive young woman that is capable of creating such a response from him with her smart mouth and sassy attitude. Knowing she's much younger than him, he tries to stay away from her as much as possible, wanting and needing to keep that precious distance between them before he does something he'll regret. Before he claims her as his own. These two were delectable. Entertaining. Captivating. I loved their dynamic and how they try to fight their attraction. Remy Blake has so much potential in climbing up the ranks of my top10 list of 2017 (and I'm not saying that callously, quite on the contrary) that I'm looking forward to their next release, knowing that I'll be floored. Underestimating their ability is not something I'll do again in the future, that's for sure!

I love two authors who work together to create a novel – I love trying to figure out who is writing which part in the novels, and I especially love to see how they’ll mesh their writing skills to make it seamless. Tempt was great – I loved watching the story pan out and was genuinely curious to find out how Charlotte and Lucas would be able to make it considering all the different obstacles that they face. You see, Charlotte was married to Lucas’ father and they meet for the first time on their way to Geoffrey’s (Lucas’ father) funeral. Their attraction is instant and even with all the chemistry, they know all the reasons why being together can cause troubles: their age difference, considering Lucas is about to turn 19 and Charlotte 29; the fact that Geoffrey had just died and because of the result of the will. To make it, they’ll have to deal with Charlotte’s big secret that threatens the tentative relationship they want to deepen.







They are mesmerizing together – Lucas knows what he wants and won’t rest until he gets it. For all the inexperience, he knows exactly what will get her off and that gave me the good kind of jitters. For the debut of this author duo, I absolutely enjoyed it and only hope that for so much more (and longer so it doesn’t end as quickly) in their next releases since they are quite promising.
