I’m
a huge fan of Sawyer Bennett’s Wicked Horse series and the other linked
series that were derived from it. So it’s not surprise that when I read
the title of this book, Wicked Wedding, my brain automatically screamed
‘WICKED HORSE SERIES!!!!’ yeah. Not so much. But you know what? I
didn’t mind at all that it wasn’t. why? Because there was some trace of
the series in this book and at the same time, it opened the door for me
to want to read another type of series by this author.
This
book was short, sweet, adorable and fun. So why no 5 star rating?
Because after a while, I couldn’t handle Brynne’s contant lamants about
the fact that her ex, who really, was a douche canoe, had gone and done a
threesome. Let’s make it clear – this woman wasn’t as hurt that he
cheated, but couldn’t get over the fact that he’d do a threesome. So the
constant reminder got on my nerves, especially when I realized that
Andrew had to hide specific things about himself because he didn`t want
to lose Brynne.
In some ways, that
was angering. And in others, I got it. I did understand why he did it.
Why Brynne couldn’t get over her hold ups.
This
was a well-developed story that gave me the fuzzy happy feelings, and
for sure I can’t wait for more from this author in the future.

“Let me prop the door open and I’ll carry you over the threshold,” I tell Brynne as I press the keycard against the magnetic reader.
She giggles, a sound I normally find grating on a grown woman, but on Brynne it’s charming. Her cheeks are flushed, and her eyes are still sparkling with energy.“Well,you are very Thor-like, so a girl would be crazy to refuse to be carried over the threshold by her husband.”
That’s right. I’m her husband, but let’s rewind just a bit to detail how this all went down.
It took me exactly fifteen minutes and three phone calls to set things up, just as I promised her.
The first call was to the nicest, swankiest Vegas chapel that I could find with a Google search. I was advised we’d have to obtain a license at the Las Vegas Marriage Bureau for the low price of seventy-five dollars, and I wasn’t surprised in the least to learn it was open twenty-four hours a day on the weekends. I was able to arrange a limousine to pick us up, as well as an explosion of flowers within the chapel itself. When I gave my credit card number to the woman, I told her to go crazy on decor, but I specifically requested white calla lilies for the bride bouquet because Brynne told me those were her favorites.
The second call was to a jeweler where I was able to purchase two very simple wedding bands in gold. It’s a detail I probably could have ignored considering we both knew this was just for fun, but fuck it. I’m rich, which means I have the ability to make this as nice as I can for Brynne.
The third call was to my attorney, who explained annulment laws and assured me it was a fairly straightforward process. I’d have to institute the action—called a complaint—and if Brynne waives service, we can present our annulment request to the court to be approved after twenty days. It wasn’t immediate, but twenty days was nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Here's how this book went:
I
guffawed. I got asked what in the world was going on. I read said
passage that made me guffaw. Person who asked me a *pointless* question
laughed their own butt off. And then i went on. The whole process
started all over again. At least a good half dozen times. Until i wanted
to smack Reed upside the head for his own 'knight in shining armour'
tendencies. Because we all know that sometimes we women don't need or
want that knight in shining armour but rather the man that will smack us
on the butt and tell us we're doing a great job while giving us the
chance to be vulnerable every so often.
I
haven't read any of the previous Cold Fury books beforehand and the
best part of this series - YOU. DON'T. HAVE. TO. HAVE. READ. THE.
PREVIOUS. BOOKS!!! Yes, that's a huge thing for me. I love being roped
into a new series and getting the chance to read at any point of the
series and that one book getting to me in ways i never could have
imagined and making me want to read the rest of the series. This
absolutely happened through Reed. Seriously, who wouldn't want to read
more about hockey players?
This
is for sure one book that is going amongst my favorite sports books of
the year and i can't wait to read more from Sawyer Bennett in the future
because they are entertaining as all heck!.

I've read all but one book from Sawyer Bennett's Wicked Horse Vegas series and they only get better and better. It's no surprise, at least for me, that when this author prefaced this book with a warning that it wasn't like the previous instalments in the series, i paid extra attention to the different nuances to the book. And truthfully, it was different. It was captivating. It was emotional. It was curiosity at its best because you know you'll want to find out exactly where else Sawyer Bennett will be going from this point on.
I wish i had known who Bodie and Rachel were long before i got their intimate story because boy are they ever interesting in a way that is making me really want to know their past and absolutely their future. Rachel is the embodiment of what a strong willed woman is, one who is also full of fears - the same ones that i have every single day. And Bodie... yeah. I think i'm just going to bring him home with me while everyone is looking away.
