I've followed Dani Rene for quite some time. Had had the chance to see the evolution of her stories as she kept writing, even had the chance to read Kingston and her collaboration with Dani Rene through her Sunshine and The Stalker, even some of her individually published novels, but Brock takes the cake on all of her other books.

This delves into the second born son. Of his love for his best friend. Oh yes, you heard me right, love. Because Brock has this undeniable link with Ethan Kingston (we've met his dad through this author's Four Fathers series book), and while they never really acted on this link, they've never denied it either. And that one moment, they decide that they can't hold back anymore.

I absolutely loved it. I loved how they aren't ashamed to say what they need to say. Or to act the way they want. And especially, i couldn't wait to see how they would find the one that would bring them even closer, which happens to be Camilla - the 'religious' girl (i did put that in quotation because her upbringing was catholic and her parents weren't exactly thrilled with the trio, but had come to terms with it) who took a chance on the two.

I was surprised to find that of all the brothers, Brock was the one that felt the loss of his father the most. He was the one that saw himself retreating from his family and mostly going against everyone's belief that he'd come and 'rule' the Four Fathers Freight company with his brother, but left it all for the joy and love that Ethan and Camilla would bring him.

Very well written and especially captivating from start to finish.
