Title: Dark Protector
Author: Celia Aaron
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: February 27, 2017
Blurb
From the moment I saw her through the window of her flower shop, something other than darkness took root inside me. Charlie shone like a beacon in a world that had long since lost any light. But she was never meant for me, a man that killed without remorse and collected bounties drenched in blood.
I thought staying away would keep her safe, would shield her from me. I was wrong. Danger followed in my wake like death at a slaughter house. I protected her from the threats that circled like black buzzards, kept her safe with kill after kill.
But everything comes with a price, especially second chances for a man like me.
Killing for her was easy. It was living for her that turned out to be the hard part.
Author's Note: This is a full-length romance novel. Explicit violence and hot sex included. HEA, no cheating.

Title: Dark Protector
Author: Celia Aaron
It was dark, intriguing and absolutely wrong to have enjoyed it so much. Celia Aaron's newest release, Dark Protector, had me squirming in my seat, needing to find out everything there was to know about Conrad and Charlie. To have met her as he was walking by her flower shop, Conrad finally was able to see some good in his otherwise dark life, the darkness that was threatening to take him over. The only problem is that Conrad has enemies that want to give him the most pain and that has become Charlie; taking her hostage, she doesn't understand why they would want her since although she's taken notice of Conrad watching her, she doesn't really know him. The question becomes now, does she go back to her scheduled and predictable life (as much as it's all she knows and craves), or will she take a chance on Conrad and his dangerous life?
These two characters were different than i could have ever imagined. Too often i come across heroines who are more than willing to follow the dangerous lifestyle of the men they meet just to be with them, and yet, Charlie wants nothing of it, preferring her life as she knows it. On a hindsight, if i were in her shoes, i would have done the same thing if the first time i get a good look and getting to know more the man i met is by being kidnapped, i'd freak too. But i have to hand it to Conrad, he managed to find a balance that helps him deal with everything that's happened to him and Charlie. Not being the first novel i've read by Celia Aaron, i'm more than happy that i've read another of her books sine it was an unforgettable one.
