Adorable stars
The problem with long standing series with multiple novels is that you
feel as though you've missed key elements when you pick up one of them and it
isn't in sequence. Picking up Forbidden by Shannon Eckrich, I soon realized
just how much I missed out: the history of the series, the characters that were
mentioned and also the back plot of the series itself. However, I must point
out that the action, the story and the scenery were all incredibly fascinating
- I can only imagine how much better the experience would have been had I had
the chance to follow the series from the very beginning.

This was the love at first sight relationship that started once Layna
and Amun realize they are similar in more ways than one. Their story is their
survival and how they managed to find one another when they thought all was
lost. As wonderful as their story was, I wish I had known more about them and I
can't help but feel that just maybe the answers to my questions might be in the
previous instalments. All that being said, Forbidden by Shannon Eckrich is
still a great introduction to this new author (for myself) and will be
following from now on for sure.
