Title: Charlie’s Whiskey
Author: Harlow Brown
What a great debut novel by Harlow Brown that had me gasping in surprise and even sadness at all that Charlie has to endure. No woman should ever feel fear from their loved ones but as the abuse gets worst, Charlie finds more solace in her sport until the day that Charlie meets Whiskey, the attraction between them is instant, even powerful enough to make him want to take things slow considering how it went with her last relationship.
It was emotional and so very powerful to make you perk up in your seat and pay attention. You can’t help it since it’s just the way that Harlow Brown wrote her story; to keep you captivated and at the edge of your seat. I loved watching Charlie and Whiskey, how they interacted with one another, how they dealt with their feelings and how they dealt with the past. I can’t wait to see what else this author has in store for her readers, because one thing is certain, it can only get better as career unfolds.
