Gabriel Miller took everything from me. My family. My innocence. My home. The only thing I have left is the determination to get back what’s mine.

He thinks he’s beaten me. He thinks he’s won. What he doesn’t realize is that every pawn has the chance to become a queen.

And the game has only just begun.

5 amazing stars

I wish I had read the first book to the Endgame series (don’t worry, that’s exactly what’s in the plan for the day) because The Knight was mind blowing. Skye Warren took a topic that I had read before (Brenna Aubrey’s Geek series) and made it her own by adding that dark mind playing game aspects, making it entirely too delicious to pass up. I’m certain I missed much of Avery and Gabriel’s history by not reading The Pawn beforehand, but I was able follow through, curiosity gnawing at me. The game continues between these two to try to outwit one another but things start to get intense as they try to fight off their feelings.

4.5 sexy dreams

This was an intense read and I couldn’t put it down, no matter how hard I tried. The chemistry was through the roof and the want to find out who would outsmart the other best was by far the most captivating part. To watch them struggle, even try to deny what is in front of them kept me at the edge of my seat. I can’t wait to see what Skye Warren has in store for Avery and Gabriel because I can only predict that we’ll never see it coming.
