The first time i heard about Piper Rayne, i dove right into their first novel, The Bartender. And i laughed, falling in love with their special way of bringing their characters to life. Then i dove into their second novel, The Boxer, and was reminded once again why i had enjoyed their first novel so much. With The Banker, it simply blew me away. I couldn't get enough of the concept of this book and especially of how it was introduced. Heck, i couldn't get through it fast enough, especially when you consider that Lennon is a s£x toy inventor and need a new investor to help her bring her ideas to reality. Clue in her brother's best friend, Jasper, and she believes she has the perfect way to introduce herself to him, only to find out that things don't always go the way we expect them too, especially when secrets are involved.
Considering that Lennon was introduced in the previous novel, The Boxer, i had been looking forward to knowing more about her, which i absolutely did! It was something... no matter how much i could have imagined how and who she was, it never was up to par to what Piper Rayne made her to be (if that makes any sense), and the same goes with Jasper. Reality, or in this case the idea of reality, truly did floor me. They were fearless in their own ways and made me chuckle more than once, which i can't thank them enough for it. I love ball busting women that aren't afraid to go after what they really want, and that's exactly what i received. Which makes me wonder just how they'll be able to top this one up! For that, i truly can't wait to find out.
