Pain, Pleasure or Purpose: Book 3, Purpose by Al Daltrey
Life is many things, but one thing it isn’t, is predictable. At times, pain weighs heavily on the heart, and then…the sky clears, the ground shifts, and happiness and pleasure return.
Billie finally emerges from her emotional slumber. She learns that while David is gone, it doesn’t mean that her life can’t have restoration. Unless, secrets from her kinky past threaten the promise of a new future?
Jasmin decides to take a page from Billie’s book, and goes on a pilgrimage of her own. Lessons learned on the Camino de Santiago will help frame her outlook on life. Erotic encounters are never far behind.
Vicky fights the good fight against the cancer that has taken root in her body. Andrew, for all his past discretions, stands by her every step of the way. Together, the battle only makes them stronger.
Life is life, as the three best friends discover.
It may not be easy…but together they find renewed purpose.

It's rare that I'll finish a series and think to myself 'What now?' A
single book hangover? Yes, that's happened more times than I can count. But a
series hangover? Well, that's a first. Al Daltrey's Pain, Pleasure or Purpose
series was and is one series that I won't be close to forgetting. The story of
three women who are friends comes to an end in the third instalment, Purpose,
with Vicky's battle with cancer and how Andrew supports her; Billie's rude
awakening that there is life after she's put aside by David; and Jasmin's
journey to self discovery. Their tale finally comes to an end as they try to
discover their purpose after having gone through everything they have ever
since we've first met them in the first book of the series.
It's beautiful. It's painful and it's emotional. But most of all, it
makes you FEEL. The journey was a tumultuous one that made me fall in love with
each woman as they are the girls you'd meet - they could be your friends, the
group you spy walking together in front of you, the strangers that have yet to
meet, or better yet, it could be yourself seeing bits and pieces in all three.
Al Daltrey is one author that I 'met' through this series and considering just
how hungover I am, I can't wait to get to know him more through his other
novels - past, present and future.
