‘I see that you’re not far off your due date,’ said Jack, reading from his clipboard.
Presumably, my form was attached to it. Hoped I hadn’t noted anything too embarrassing. Had probably ticked boxes admitting to excessive flatulence and piles.
Looked up at him, leaning over me. Could see muscles bulging; the sort that would toss a tree trunk like a matchstick. He smelt lovely also. Musk and light sweat with a hint of sawdust. As if had been doing DIY.
Just the thought of him laying his hands on me was sending me all aquiver. Which bit would he touch first? Which bits was he planning to get to next? Where would he end up?
Bar two small handtowels (hardly bigger than face cloths) I was nude.
‘Breathe slowly and deeply for me, Delphine,’ said Jack. His hands, large and warm, pressed down upon my shoulders.
Nearly had an orgasm there and then. Could hardly draw breath, was in such a state of excitement.
He began to knead, working his thumbs up towards my neck, then out again, to the edges of my shoulders. His palms stroked down over my collarbones, to the top of my breasts, in smooth, fluid motions. There was nothing inappropriate. His technique took him only to the upper half of my bosom, but how I wanted him to go lower. Just another six inches. It was tantalizing. I grew up in a small town in Iowa. I have 2 older sisters and amazing parents. Growing up, I was always a daddy’s girl, hanging out with him in the garage, fishing, and building stuff. I loved to play softball and swimming, but reading, telling stories, and writing were my passion, even at a young age. I took a break from writing for a while, but you could always find me with a book in my hand.I have three children – two boys and a girl. They are my whole world. Even when I’m having the worst day ever, they brighten up my day and make me smile.
A few years ago, there was this story that would always play out in my head and no matter how many times I went through it, from beginning to end, it would never fade. So I decided to put it on paper. I didn’t plan on publishing it, but when it was almost done, a friend asked to read it. She said it was a story that needed to be shared. And that’s what started my writing career.
I love all genres of books, and even though I started with writing MC Romance, I have a whole book of ideas, so you can expect more from me than just MC, though romance is in my blood.
Even though I currently work two jobs, my ultimate dream is to become a full time author. I want to be able to spend my days filling pages with stories. I want to be the reason people find a reason to smile or laugh from lines on a page. Reading a book allows me to live in someone else’s shoes, even if only for a few minutes. It’s a way to leave my life and troubles behind and I want to be help others do that as well.

The first in the new series by Shelly Morgan, The Preacher's Daughter, was the first time I've read a novel written by this author and it was an interesting read, one that had my jaw dropping with the ending (be warned, the author does specify that there's a cliffhanger ending) and hoping for more. Angelica has always lived a sheltered life and hopes to be able to find her own place where she's not dictated on what, who, when and where she should be and how. Her first attempt at breaking free almost ends in a disaster, bringing Tory to become her saviour, then walking away. Problem was that Angelica still wasn't happy with her situation and makes her way to Vegas and gets a job at Bottoms Up, a strip club owned by the Rough Riders MC. What neither Torq or Angelica ever expected was to have this new job bring them face to face once again and opening doors they thought were closed.
4 breath taking dreams
I had high hopes for The Preacher's Daughter and often felt like as though we were being slowly set up for something bigger and more intense - maybe the second instalment? Not to say that I didn't enjoy the book, because did, but I know, especially with that ending, that something captivating is on its way for Torq and Angelica. I'm certainly curious to find out what will happen to this series in the future.

Trigger's Salvation by Crystal Miller

I’d been completely unaware of their friendship and now I need to do a little digging to make sure she doesn’t pose a threat to my club. I don’t count on falling for her, though. What will happen when she learns my secrets? Is she going to run or is this incredible woman going to be my salvation?

My first impression of Trigger was that he is a total douche bag. Only an asshole would treat a stranger the way he treated me. I have quite a history when it comes to assholes. After tricking me into what turns out to be an amazing apology dinner, I find myself going against my better judgment and falling for this man, whose moods I can never predict. I know he’s hiding something. Can I put myself through this again? When his secrets come out, is it all going to come back to bite me?

Every once in a while, I pick up a book and as I’m reading, I’m catching myself wondering if the characters are true to what they should be. Let me explain myself – Trigger is in an MC Club, the Hellfire Dogs, and is a big brother who follows his sister to a store unsuspecting that she’s friends with one of the employees, eve. Rather than take a step back and observe the pair, he goes full out butthole (imagine me saying the actual word here 😉 ) on her, hoping to get the answers her needs. My questions, especially after reading that part, are whether or not his reactions were something I’d come to expect from a club member or was it the actions of an emotional man. Eve, as for her, I often wondered if her attraction to Trigger was due to how he reacted and how he protected his sister, or was it an attraction to what she saw in the man – his emotions, vulnerability and the passion.
As much as these two are a conundrum to me, I can’t express how intrigued I was to find out how this couple would end up. Crystal Miller took two people and made them real because even with all my questions and confusion, I still saw the humanity in them, the insecurities that exist in us all and even all the passion that exists in us. It’s the kind of read that you’ll have to go in and forget everything you know about MC’s because her own twist on it will make you look at the life in a different way. I’ll be looking forward to following Crystal Miller in the future and seeing how she’ll surprise her readers.
